PRE-SERVICE REQUIREMENTS & MEDICAL CONTRAINDICATIONS

By booking the services, you acknowledge compliance with the following terms under California law.

◉Acid-Based Products (AHA/BHA/Retinoids)

• Discontinue use of OTC creams, toners, or serums containing lactic/glycolic/citric/tartaric acids, retinol, or skin-lightening agents 2 weeks prior to permanent makeup or facial treatments. These may cause pigment discoloration or skin hypersensitivity (CA Health & Safety Code § 119300-119328).

◉Eyelash Extensions

• Remove lash extensions 24 hours before lash tinting, eyeliner procedures, or professional lash training sessions to ensure safe application and hygiene compliance (CA Board of Barbering & Cosmetology § 980 et seq.).

◉Anticoagulants (e.g., Coumadin/Warfarin)

• Clients on blood thinners must disclose this during consultation. Excessive bleeding may require multiple sessions or render the procedure ineffective. A signed medical waiver is required.

◉Cancer/Chemotherapy Patients

• Written clearance from your oncologist is mandatory for any permanent makeup or facial service. Procedures are prohibited during active treatment cycles (CA Civil Code § 56-56.37).

◉Recent Surgery Procedures

• Laser Eye Surgery: Wait 30 days before eyeliner procedures.

◉Infectious Conditions

• Active Shingles (Facial): Postpone services until 3 months post-recovery.
• Pinkeye/Conjunctivitis: Reschedule only after completing antibiotics and symptom-free for 7 days.
• Cold Sores (Herpes Simplex): For lip procedures, antiviral prophylaxis (e.g., Valtrex) must be taken 3 days pre/post-service to prevent outbreaks.

• Non-Compliance: Failure to disclose medical conditions or product use voids all guarantees and may result in service refusal without refund (CA Civil Code § 1542).
• Pigment Variations: Final results may vary due to skin type, aftercare, or pre-existing conditions. Touch-ups require separate fees.
